2-)    So that+ could

“Could” past tense içeren kelimelerde kullanılır.

*He turned on the TV so that he could listen to the news.

Haberleri dinleyebilsin diye televizyonu açtı.

3-)    So that+ will

“ Will ” birşeyin sonucundan emin olabilmek için başka bir şey yapmayı gösterirken kullanılır.

*We must keep the fish in the refrigerator so that they will not spoil.

4-)    So that+ would

“Would” past tense içeren kelimelerde kullanılır.

*I waited at the office for four hours so that I would answer when my friend called.

Arkadaşım aradığında cevap verebileyim diye 4 saat ofiste bekledim.

IN ORDER THAT…amacıyla …diye

“In order that”  so that ile aynı pozisyonda kullanılır.

*He  turned on the lights in order that he could read a book.

Kitap okuyabilsin idye ışıkları açtı.

*I’m going to buy a newspaper in order that I can read the news.

Haberleri okuyabileyim diye gazete alacağım.

IN ORDER TO / FOR …-mak/-mek için;…diye

1-* I listen to BBC two hours a day in order to improve my English.

2-* There is a bottle-opener for opening the bottles.

For verb + ing yapısı amaç bildirirken konuşma dilinde kullanılır.

3-* I listen to BBC two hours a day for to improve my English. (YANLIŞ)

For + to verb yapısı amaç bildirirken kullanılmaz.For kelimesinden sonra sadece isim kullanılır.

4-* I’ll go to buther’s for some steak.

For + isim formülü amaç bildirmek için kullanılır.

5-* I went to butcher’s to buy some steak.

SO AS TO :…-mek/-mak için;…diye

*I went to university so as to qualify a doctor.

NOT:olumsuz yapı: so as not to veya in order not to şeklinde yapılır.
